This year at the JCK Show - Las Vegas show, the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) will host the largest Israel Diamond Pavilion ever, with 34 Israeli manufacturers and exporters exhibiting. In addition 32 Israeli companies will be exhibiting throughout the show. In 2005, the U.S. accounted for two-thirds of Israel's total polished diamond exports, which reached $6.3 billion.
Simcha Lustig, chairman of the IDI, said that the large Israeli presence at this show underlined the importance of the U.S. market. "For the Israeli diamond industry, the American market is a primary target. Every second diamond sold in the U.S. is an Israeli diamond," he said. Lustig said that Israeli diamantaires were looking forward to positive results at this show. "Demand for diamond jewelry is strong in the U.S. market, and I'm optimistic that the Israeli industry will do well at the show," he said.
Lusting also noted that the IDI's recently launched branding effort will be revealed at a U.S. show for the first time at the show. Under the slogan "The Israeli Diamond Industry - All you could ask for in one," the new brand reflects Israel's multiple strategic advantages - tradition of know-how and expert craftsmanship, excellent quality of make, vast selection in all sizes, huge market share, advanced technology, adherence to the toughest international standards, as well as creativity and flexibility.
The new positioning has been translated into a comprehensive image campaign, which includes a brand logo, print advertising, a short and savvy image film, a redesigned and intuitive web portal, and a host of other applications. The Israel Diamond Pavilion and the IDI image booth, as well as all IDI promotional materials distributed at JCK have also been redesigned to reflect the new branding effort.
The IDI will exhibit in booth 50118 in the Pavilion, and will have an image booth as well at number 5049 on the upper level.
