IDL Provides Jewelry Grading Services to Damas

International Diamond Laboratories (IDL) has begun offering diamond certification services to jewelry retailer Damas. IDL certificates are now available on Damas in-house jewelry brands, including Hayati, Dibla, Solitaire and Damas cut, and on its diamond products.

Through the new initiative, the product of a joint collaboration between the lab and Damas, IDL will offer a product quality certification, following an examination of the item in its facilities, and the certificates will be available at Damas stores across its 16 markets.

Damas is the largest jewelry retailer in the Middle East region. It operates more than 300 stores worldwide, and its trading network spans the U.S., the UK, Lebanon, Thailand, Jordan, Maldives, Libya, Italy, India, Egypt and the Gulf countries.  

IDL recently announced that it had added jewelry certification services to its grading offerings. The jewelry certificates are available in three sizes and detail the precious metals and precious stones, including diamonds, used in the certified jewelry item.

They also list the number of diamonds and precious stones, their natural character as well as their shape and measurements, clarity, color and finish and include an enlarged high-quality color photograph of the jewelry piece.
