Jewelry TV To Support American Heart Association Throughout February
February 04, 16(IDEX Online News) – Jewelry Television (JTV) has announced that it will support the American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” campaign during February.
The national jewelry retailer and broadcast network will promote the “Love Your Heart” campaign to help increase awareness and educate viewers about the risks of heart disease. JTV has committed to donate 10 percent of the selling price from any piece from the exclusive 2016 “Love Your Heart” jewelry and gift collection, toward the American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” movement.
JTV wants to encourage as many viewers as possible to participate in the “Love Your Heart” initiative, including donating $5 on February 5 on National Wear Red Day for a special 24-hour Love Your Heart event. JTV has also said that anyone who donates $5 to the Love Your Heart fund from February 6-29 will receive a $10 promotional voucher to be used on a JTV purchase during March.
"Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined, and many women are unaware of the signs and symptoms," said JTV CEO Tim Matthews.
"The majority of our viewers are women so we are thrilled to help Go Red For Women raise awareness on the importance of knowing the risks of heart disease and stroke. Thanks to our customers we've raised more than $375,000 for the American Heart Association since 2011 and we are looking forward to helping even more this year."
