Tanishq Opens Large-Format Outlet in MumbaiMay 01, 11
A joint venture between the Indian giant industrial group Titan Industries, which includes the iconic Jaguar and Land Rover car brands, and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), Tanishq has grown to become the single largest jewelry brand with a presence across the entire country.
The new store offers a choice from an in-store stock of 20,000 jewelry items, ranging in price from Rs. 2,000 ($45) to Rs. 3,500,000 ($78,677). The store features separate sections for gold, platinum and diamond jewelry as well as a secluded room within the store for high-value diamond shoppers seeking to make their purchases in complete privacy.
The store aims at making the jewelry shopping experience an enjoyable one for the entire family, offering among other amenities, a men’s lounge with music and magazines and a “kid’s corner” with drawing books, TV cartoon channels and games.
Bachchan, who features in current Tanishq TV commercials, said, “Tanishq has clearly established itself as a market leader while setting new benchmarks. It gives me immense pleasure to work and to be associated with such an iconic brand.”
