The Watch & Jewellery Dubai exhibition is being revamped for its 2007 edition. The December show is being reformatted as Dubai International Jewellery Week. Three events will take place during the week: Jewellery Collections Dubai, Areeq Dubai and Jewellery Trade Dubai.
Jewellery Trade Dubai (December 11-13) is a specialized trade event for the jewelry industry and is aimed at manufacturers and suppliers. Key exhibitors include AMC, Bijoux Tec, Dubai Multi Commodity Centre, Dubai Diamond Exchange, HRD and Shrenuj.
Jewellery Collections Dubai (December 11-15) will showcase international jewelry and watches from firms including Dhamani, Damas, Europearls and Rosy Blue.
Areeq Dubai (December 13-15) is a boutique event for high-end jewelry and watch companies such as Harry Winston, Chopard, Adler, Jacob & Co and Pasquale Bruni.
Speaking about the new format, Helal Saeed Al Marri, director general of Dubai World Trade Centre, the show's organizer, said, "The jewelry market has grown tremendously over the past few years in tandem with the growing affluence in the region. To cater to this influential market, Dubai International Jewellery Week has been created to deliver distinctive business-to-business and business-to-consumer strategies for a more effective customer focused exhibition platform."
