An Israeli citizen, named as Michel Rubinek of Rubinek Diamonds (Pty) Ltd, was murdered Monday night in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Clear details have yet to emerge about the incident, which allegedly took place around the corner from Johannesburg's Jewel City. Media reports are calling the event a botched robbery.

Rubinek, a former Sightholder, had lived in South Africa for a number of years.
