DTC Announces Four Accredited Business Programme Firms
September 17, 08The Diamond Trading Company (DTC) announced Wednesday that four diamond firms have joined the new DTC Accredited Business Programme. The four are Livingstones, Premier Diamond Cutting Ltd, Richold SA and Shree Ramkrishna Export.
Members of the program are able to “enjoy wide ranging support from the DTC and can promote their participation in the program status in their diamond business activities,” the DTC said in a release. Further details bout the program were not immediately available and it is not clear if it includes a supply of rough diamonds.
According to DTC Sales and Client Services Director Mahiar Borhanjoo, a number of “very strong applicants” did not become Sightholders because the DTC did not expect to have enough rough diamonds to meet demand.
“These four companies have been DTC customers of good standing over many years and we are pleased to be able to maintain and build upon our relationships with them,” Borhanjoo said, adding, “we are proud to publicly endorse them as outstanding businesses that have committed to high standards of ethical and professional behavior.”
The DTC said that to achieve accredited status, the four companies have met the same stringent Best Practice Principles (BPP) requirements as DTC Sightholders. All four companies are former DTC Sightholders.
