PPR Enjoys Gucci Growth, Revenues Rise 5.6%

Retail and luxury goods firm PPR posted first quarter revenues of €4.4 billion ($5.991 billion), rising 5.6 percent at comparable exchange rates. Revenues outside
The Gucci Group achieved a strong 15.9 percent growth to €936.8 million ($1.276 billion). According to PPR’s Chairman and CEO, Francois-Henri Pinault, these results underscore the “robustness” of Gucci’s brands.
Shoes and ready-to-wear were Gucci Group’s fastest growing product categories, each increasing over 24 percent in the quarter. Leather goods make up the largest product category with €291.6 million ($397.04 million) in revenues.
Gucci Group brand portfolio includes Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, YSL Beaute, Balenciaga, Boucheron, Sergio Rossi, BEDAT & CO, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney.
PPR has approximately 78,000 employees in 75 countries. Its retail businesses include Redcats Group, Fnac, Conforama, and CFAO.
