DGSE Revenues +161% to $59 Million

DGSE Companies, Inc. posted strong quarterly and half year results Wednesday. Revenue in the second quarter totaled $26.38 million, a 111 percent year-over-year increase. For the six-month period income shot up 161 percent to $59.1 million.

Net income for the second quarter was $489,924, a 76 percent increase, rising 110 percent to $967,179 for the half-year period.

During the first six months of 2008, DGSE operations purchased over $27 million in scrap jewelry, rare coins and bullion products from consumers.
