Annenberg Flawless Headlining Diamond and Jewelry Auction

The Annenberg Diamond is set to go on auction October 21. Keeping the flawless D color diamond company will be the Taj Mahal Emerald, a Harry Winston emerald and diamond necklace and other objects d'art. The 32.01 carat Annenberg is set to star as the key auction item during the "Jewels: The New York Sale & The Annenberg Diamond," by auction house Christies, in New York.
Estimates for the diamond are $3-5 million. The Taj Mahal Emerald, estimated at $0.8-$1.2 million, was part of a small group of emeralds commissioned by the Mughal Court, possibly during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan.
Items being sold include historical jewelry items with a provenance and new contemporary designers. Vintage jewelry items include pieces designed by Black, Starr & Frost, Boucheron, Cartier, Fabergé, Rubel Frères, René Lalique, Van Cleef & Arpels, Verger Frères and Harry Winston. Seven of the contemporary pieces in the auction is by designer Daniel Brush.
Other items of interest are a Cartier "Mystery" clock and a sapphire sculpture known as the “Blue Venus" that belonged to the Russian Youssoupov family, high ranking aristocrats in Czarist Russia.
