(IDEX Online News) – Described as "an epic sea journey across the South African coast for precious diamonds," a new TV show, Diamond Divers, follows a motley crew of wild treasure hunters from the U.S. as they journey to diamond riches.

Claimed to hide billions of dollars worth of diamonds undiscovered at the bottom of the ocean, the new Spike TV show tracks the team from Washington State to Skeleton Coast off the coast of South Africa.

The six crewmembers headed by Captain John and his son Jason lead a group of experienced commercial drivers, planning to mine diamonds in shark infested waters.

Providing the shows drama are the scruffy manners and turbulent relationships of the crew, set against the backdrop of storms threatening to tear apart the rickety wooden boat , hungry sharks, pirates and drunkenness as they mine for diamonds under the sea.
