Diamond Imports to Shandong up Dramatically

The value of diamonds imported to the Shandong province in China for the first seven months of 2002 have increased to US$47 million, up 70 percent over the previous year.
Imports from South Africa, up by over 500 percent, account for some US$31 million of the market.
