Trans Hex CEO Calvyn Gardner Resigns

Trans Hex CEO Calvyn Gardner announced today his resignation from his post at the diamond mining group effective January 1, 2004. A committee was formed to find a new CEO.
Gardner plans to work as an independent diamond consultant in Angola, and Trans Hex has already said he would advise the company on its Angolan activities.
Non-executive deputy chairman Bernard van Rooyen and non-executive directors Emil Buhrmann and Alwyn Martin have been nominated by the board of directors to the search committee for a new CEO.
In the interim period, Van Rooyen, Buhrmann and Martin have joined the company’s executive committee.
