IGI Wins Prestigious PR Recognition

The International Gemological Institute (IGI), a diamond, fine gemstones and jewelry grading and certifying lab, said its consumer media campaign has been included in the recently published Holmes Group's 100 Best Public Relations Programs of 2003 publication.
The Holmes Group provides information for the public relations industry. Its weekly newsletter, The Holmes Report, is considered one of the leading trade publications, while its Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation awards are highly sought after.
The IGI's consumer media outreach campaign was chosen from more than 1,600 submissions, and is one of 10 campaigns highlighted in the marketing consumer products section of the publication along with programs from major global brands such as Procter & Gamble, Nestl? Purina and Nintendo.
IGI received more than 75 million positive consumer media responses last year in a wide range of media outlets. Its campaigns aim to educate consumers on topics such as how to safely shop for fine jewelry, the need for adequate insurance and how IGI certification provides peace of mind.
