Dimexon a Rio Tinto Select Diamantaire

Dimexon Diamonds Ltd. (India) has joined the Select Diamantaire program of Rio Tinto Diamonds (RTD) and will now process rough diamonds sourced from RTD’s mines at Diavik in Canada and Murowa in Zimbabwe.

According to a statement issued by Dimexon, it has been selected based on its specific expertise and experience in trading, manufacturing and distribution across the spectrum of the rough products offered.

Rajiv Mehta CEO, Dimexon said that being chosen as a Select Diamantaire will incrementally add to the robust supplier ties that the company has built over the years.

By becoming a client of RTD, the company will be able to increase its offerings to its customers, as both these mines offer distinct product streams.

This is in line with the strategic goal that the company had set itself some time ago to ensure that it procured rough from a diverse range of sources.

Dimexon is registered with Rio Tinto Diamonds under its Dutch holding company, Dimexon International Holdings BV. The rough sourced from RTD will all be cut and polished in India. The company clarified that it will not be dealing in Argyle rough.
