AGS Labs: DQD Now in Three-Stone Format
March 06, 07
AGS Labs announced March 1 that it will now offer its Diamond Quality Document (DQD) in three-stone format. Other multi-stone documents are planned to be released in the upcoming quarter.
The three-stone document is slightly larger than the original to be able to accommodate plots for three diamonds, and retains all other DQD benefits and features.

“Our clients have increasingly expressed a demand for multi-stone diamond documents,” says Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of AGS Laboratories. “As we are constantly seeking ways to help them sell more diamonds, we felt it was crucial to their continued success to add these new documents to our product line.”
In 2005, AGS Labs released the Performance-Based Cut Grading System for both the round brilliant and princess — the first-ever cut grading system for a fancy shaped diamond. AGS recently added emerald cuts to its cut grade mix. According to the company, plans are under way to release other shapes “in the near future”.
