Damas Expands India Operations

Damas India recently opened a 2,300 sq ft store at Delhi’s Gold Souk, an exclusive jewelry mall. This is Damas’ 12th outlet in the country. The store stocks high end brands as well as the company’s own labels.
According to CEO Annagh Desai, the company intends to open another 16 outlets in the next financial year.
Damas introduced Ball brand watches into the Indian market. Ball collections ranging from Trainmaster, Conductor, Engineer Master, Engineer to Fireman will be available exclusively at Damas outlets, priced at Rs 10,000 ($228) and above.
Dubai-based Damas Jewellery LLC has also entered into a joint venture with the Indian arm of Flemingo International to set up duty-free jewelry and watch shops at airports in India.
The stores will use the Damas brand.
Permits have already been obtained for shops at Chennai, Trivandrum, and Jaipur international airports.
