De Beers Diamond Jewellers to Open in Moscow

De Beers Diamond Jewellers (formerly De Beers LV), the South African mining giant’s retail arm, has announced plans to open a jewelry store in Russian shopping mall GUM in early November. This will be their first store in Moscow.

As reported in the Russian business daily Vedomosti, GUM’s managing director, Teimuraz Guguberidze said that the store will be managed by De Beers’ Russian partner, although he did not reveal the partner’s identity.

The firm, a 50/50 joint venture with LVMH, currently has stores in London, the U.S., Dubai and a number of boutiques in Japan.
