IDI to Focus on Diamonds as Luxury at BaselWorld

The Israel Diamond Institute’s (IDI) annual breakfast press conference at BaselWorld 2008 will focus on diamonds as a symbol of luxury and will feature some of
Eli Avidar, managing director of the IDI Group of Companies, will present an update on the Israeli Diamond Industry “2007-2008: Challenges, Responses and New Directions.”
In addition, a panel discussion will feature three Israeli companies – Korn Diamonds, Gemstar-Eshed and YEI-Yahlomei Espeka – who are leading the way in the luxury product market by linking up with high-end jewelry and watch brands, or by providing one of a kind, large stones for special pieces.
IDI notes that there will be a strong presence of Israeli diamond companies at the show, exhibiting for the most part in Hall 3, where the loose diamond category is concentrated.
