ImaGem to Display GemInsight Tech at JCK Las Vegas
May 21, 08
ImaGem Inc, a diamond grading and identifying technology firm, will be displaying its newest development – the GemInsight point of sale display unit, a device that takes images and videos of loose and mounted diamonds and gemstones – at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas show, May 30-June 3.
The company notes that the technology can be used by retailers for sale purposes, by wholesalers to select matching stones and by manufacturers to improve the quality and increase the value of their finished goods.
“GemInsight provides easy to understand visual displays and is particularly useful to distinguish well cut stones and special cuts from traditionally cut stones,” said Dr. Lalit Aggarwal, chairman of ImaGem.
The company will also display its VeriGem unit, used for direct measurement of light behavior and for registration and verification of a stone. VeriGem can be used for round as well as fancy shapes and braded cuts and can also provide instructions for cutting brilliant diamonds.
