Jewellery Trade Dubai to Highlight Diamonds

Jewellery Trade Dubai will highlight diamonds this year, as the country’s international and local diamond trade keeps growing, featuring a workshop program with presentations on diamonds, gold, pearls and gemstones.
The business-to-business watch and jewelry show will be part of Dubai International Jewellery Week 2008, scheduled to take place November 11-15 2008 together with Jewellery Collections Dubai.
Areeq Dubai, the event that showcases luxury and high-end brands, runs for three days, November 13-15. All three events will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dubai is a growing diamond trading center that also serves as leading regional retail hub, catering to the Arab Gulf and the Middle East. Its diamond trade soared by 53 percent in 2007, reaching $11.23 billion.
According to the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), the Emirate’s rough diamond trade increased by 29 percent to $4.82 billion in 2007.
