June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair Goes Ahead Despite Influenza A HINI

Organizers of the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair said the spread of Human Swine Influenza (Influenza A HINI) in different parts of the world will not affect the show. UBM Asia also published a review trade fair's onsite health measures. 

The June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair will be held from June 18 - 21 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Over 1,100 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions are expected to attend the fair, including group pavilions from Antwerp, China, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. 

The health guidelines include frequent hand washing. The onsite health support includes hygiene counters and face masks. A medical team will be available at the fair grounds.

"We will keep a close eye on the situation and will follow the health and precautionary guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Department of Health in Hong Kong or the Ministry of Health of the PRC to ensure a safe and healthy June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair," the organizers said in an emailed notice.
