IDI Launches Second Round of YouTube Videos

September 22, 09 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) has launched a second round of YouTube videos to promote the Israeli diamond industry. The videos are the fourth stage of the IDI’s "Together Works" strategic program, based on a social media marketing campaign, which, in addition to YouTube, relies on Facebook, Twitter and blogs.

The YouTube channel is the first ever diamond center channel on YouTube. Each video presents a different diamond company, introduced by the owner or principal. IDI is promoting the videos on major diamond and jewelry websites as well as on its own site.

IDI says that the Israeli diamond industry's YouTube channel has exceeded expectations and that is the reason that an additional round was created. Since the videos were first uploaded on May 31, IDI reports over 15,000 visits.

The second round includes 24 new videos, which join the existing 40. The videos are produced by the IDI as a service for the Israeli diamond industry.

“Although the diamond industry has been seen to be a traditional industry, through ‘Together Works' we are using all available channels, including the most advanced among them,” sad IDI Chairman Moti Ganz.

“It was clear when we planned ‘Together Works' that we would use all tools available to promote The Israeli Diamond Industry, including social media marketing,” added IDI Managing Director Eli Avidar. “We are working to create an online community where the industry worldwide can come together and share ideas.”
