Sotheby’s Unveils Lavish Jewels for March Auction

Sotheby's will auction off a 1970s diamond ring by Bulgari at the upcoming London sale

A 6.65 carat oval cut diamond ring by Nicholos Wylde is among the top estimated lots slated to be auctioned March 18 at the forthcoming Sotheby’s jewelry sale in London. The diamond, which is held in a half-moon shaped mount set with brilliant-cut stones, has an estimated auction price of GBP18,000 – GBP22,000 ($27,236 - $33,257).

The sale will feature 196 lots with jewelry in a wide range of styles and by distinguished designers such as Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron and Cartier.

Noteworthy items on the auction block include a late 19th Century 38 centimeter long diamond necklace that consists of small knife-edge links set with circular and rose-cut diamonds and a 1970s Bulgari diamond ring with a brilliant-cut 2.86 carat diamond atop a mount accented with smaller similarly cut stones.

The estimated price for the jewels is GBP 15,000 – GBP 20,000 ($22 697 - $30,262) and GBP 8,000 – GBP 12,000 ($12,105 – $18,157) respectively.
