Richemont Announces Sweeping Executive Changes
March 28, 10
Luxury goods firm Richemont announced a series of top executive changes following the stepping down of its CEO Norbert Platt at the end of the month. The appointments include the deputy chief executive officer, chief financial officer and chief counsel.
Platt is stepping down due to health reasons and will be replaced by current executive chairman, Johann Rupert, on April 1. Rupert will keep his current position and combine it with the CEO role.
Group finance director Richard Lepeu will assume the role of deputy chief executive officer.
Gary Saage will become chief financial officer and Dr Frederick Mostert has been appointed chief counsel of the group. Both will be proposed for election to Richemont’s board at the annual general meeting in September.
As previously announced, Josua Malherbe will also be proposed for election to the board at that meeting.
Alain Dominique Perrin and Dr Franco Cologni have indicated that they will give up their remaining direct executive roles within the organization effective March 31. They will continue to serve as non-executive directors of the group.
