Sarin's Revenue Triples in Q2

Sarin's Advisor rough planning device helped boost the company's revenues in the second quarter

Diamond tool maker Sarin posted a 290 percent leap in revenues to $14.4 million in the second quarter ended June 30. The large increase in sales boosted the bottom line and brought it back to black. Sarin reported a $4.6 million profit in the quarter as opposed to a $0.9 million loss in the prior year.

Sarin’s revenue in India increased by $8.7 million to $11.6 million during the second quarter, a 305.8 percent year-over-year growth. The largest increase n sales were in Africa, a 466.9 percent increase to $686,000.

The strong results also improved first half results. Revenues of $27.9 million in the six month period were a 489.2 percent increase over 2009.
