43.51Ct Fancy Intense Yellow Nears $3M

– A 43.51-carat modified rectangular brilliant cut, internally flawless fancy intense yellow diamond sold for $2.84 million. The diamond, forfeited to the U.S. government, was auctioned last week.

 

The hammer price represents a per carat price of $65,355.62.

 

The minimum bid for this 43.51-carat yellow diamond started at $900,000.

 

Bid4Assets, an online auction company, auctioned the diamond on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Service.
