Three More Join RJC

(IDEX Online News) – Three more companies have joined the ever-growing list of businesses certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). The three latest additions are Elegant Collection, Hari Krishna Exports Private Limited and Premier Gem Corporation.
Mumbai-based jewelry manufacturer Elegant Collection was assessed by Manish C. Doshi from SGS. “Elegant Collection has always enshrined amongst its core values, the highest standards of ethical, human rights and environment standards and we therefore are especially proud to be certified by the RJC,” said Elegant Collection president Satish Joshi. “We believe that the future of our industry depends on consumer confidence.”
The assessment of Hari Krishna Exports Private Limited, a Mumbai-based diamond manufacturer, was conducted by Ankur Modawal from SGS. “This certification enhances our commitment towards trade and society. It will certainly boost our morale to continue to follow and uphold ethical business standards, human rights, social and environmental performance and management systems,” said Hari Krishna Export director Ghanshyam Dholakia.
Premier Gem Corporation, a diamond manufacturer and DTC Sightholder, is based in New York. The company’s assessment was conducted by Diane Bové from SGS. “Our company has always been in the forefront of socially responsible business ethics and has always been a leader in this area. This certification acts to reinforce what we have been doing for over 50 years and we are proud to have been certified by the RJC,” said Premier Gem principal David Samuels. “We will continue to run our businesses with the high ethical and moral standards set forth by the founder and chairman of our company, Marvin Samuels.”
