Fiera Di Vicenza and Rimini Fera to Merge

(IDEX Online News) – The board of directors of Fiera di Vicenza and Rimini Fera have announced the approval of the formal move to begin the merger between the trade fair hubs. Shareholders’ meetings will have to rubber-stamp the process by the end of the year.
The name of the new business has yet to be made public, and the companies will also need to appoint an expert responsible for evaluating them.
Lorenzo Cagnoni was confirmed as president and CEO, and two members selected by Fiera di Vicenza will have seats on the board. One of these will be current Fiera di Vicenza president Matteo Marzotto, who will take the role of vice president.
“I am particularly pleased with this result,” said Marzotto, “which has been achieved through enormous team work, marking the start of a merger process between two great players in the industry. This operation will change the paradigm in the Italian trade fair system, capitalizing on an industrial project with great leverage.”
