1,300 Brands Taking Part in VicenzaOro Gold And Jewelry Show

September 03, 16 by Albert Robinson

(IDEX Online) - The international gold and jewelry show organized by Fiera di Vicenza started on Saturday and runs until September 7, featuring 1,300 brands from 35 different countries.

The central theme of the show will be 'The Golden Touch', with six sub-themes: product excellence, both national and international products, Corporate Social Responsibility; distribution, new trends in the industry and the marketplace, international aspects and communication.

The September edition of the show features a new section called NOW 'Not Ordinary Watches', showcasing a selection of innovative brand and designer watches made in Italy and Europe.

Ahead of the show, an exhibition called 'Il Gioiello e il Viaggio' (Jewelry and Travel) organized by Fiera di Vicenza, was inaugurated. The temporary exhibition, featuring jewelry created by designers under the age of 30, will be located in the Jewellery Museum in Vicenza’s Basilica Palladiana.

All items are dedicated to an interpretation of travel, understood as inspiration – symbolic or real – as well as a narrative metaphor that may refer to an interior journey, to geography or event to a production process.

The designers presenting their works in the Il Gioiello e il Viaggio exhibition are all finalists in the Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest 2016 (NJJTC) competition, organized by Fiera di Vicenza together with the School of Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan. Each entrant comes from one of the most prestigious international jewelry design schools around the world.

On September 5, TRENDVISION Jewellery+Forecasting, Fiera di Vicenza’s independent (think tank) introduced TRENDBOOK 2018+. Now in its 15th edition, the reference guide for jewelry and international contemporary luxury forecasts and analyses the trends and style directions that will be influencing product development and consumer choices, 18 months ahead of the market. On the evening of the first day of the show, there was an awards ceremony for winners among the 25 finalists of the 2016 edition of the Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest.

On September 4, there will be a conference called 'Marketing to the Millennials: Meeting the expectations of the next great consumer generation' organized by Fiera di Vicenza and CIBJO.
