IDEX Price Report for 1 March: Rounds Fare Worse than Fancies

(IDEX Online) - The decline continued during February, with price drops more pronounced among rounds than fancies. Rounds Price drops dominated yet again, with almost twice as many decreases among rounds as increases. Most of the activity was among 1.25-cts to 5.99-cts goods. Among smaller sizes there was very limited movement. 3.00-cts to 5.99-cts saw the heaviest losses, though they were balanced by significant gains. Fancies A more mixed picture among fancies. Still many prices drops, but a larger number of increase than among rounds. Some volatility with large clusters of dramatic deceases (up to 50%) among goods of the poorest colors in 0.18-cts to 0.22-cts. Overall most activity was among 1.50-cts to 5.99-cts.
