(IDEX Online) - Music legend Carlos Santana, 78, has launched Santana Now, a fine jewelry brand featuring silver, diamonds, sapphires, black spinel . . . and fragments of the Woodstock stage that catapulted his band to global fame.
The Santana Now brand is positioned as accessible luxury. Its debut collection of 67 sterling silver and 14K gold necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, is called "Unidad" (Spanish for "unity"), and items are priced from $115 to $1,595.
They reflect Santana's philosophy of peace, love, and togetherness. Some of the higher‑end and limited‑edition pieces incorporate authenticated wood the original Woodstock stage, where he and his band appeared in 1969.
They include limited-edition epoxy peace sign necklaces containing sawdust in three sizes priced from $425 to $1,495.
The electrifying 1969 performance ignited a career spanning more than five decades, during which Santana has sold over 100 million records, won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammys, and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998).
"Jewelry, like music, carries energy—it tells a story, where spirit meets beauty, and every piece carries a frequency of intention," said Santana.
Santana is following in the footsteps of high‑profile musicians and celebrities who have built their own jewelry brands, including Frank Ocean (Homer), Jewel (Songlines), Loren Gray (&Always), Kim Kardashian (Belle Noel), Serena Williams (her eponymous jewelry line), and Angelina Jolie (Style of Jolie with Robert Procop).
The jelwery line is developed by LMN Creations (founded by Noreen Paris, a former executive at Tiffany & Co) as a direct creative collaboration with Santana.
