Fantasy Bra With 1,373 Carats of Diamonds Valued at $50m

October 19, 26 by John Jeffay

(IDEX Online) - Jacob & Co. has created a $50 million Fantasy Bra set with 1,373 carats of diamonds and featuring a 75.54-carat fancy vivid yellow centerpiece.

It is billed as the most valuable Fantasy Bra ever made and was worn by Kylie Jenner, the American reality television star, businesswoman and social media personality, at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on October 18.

The centerpiece is a 75.54-carat natural fancy vivid yellow diamond, surrounded by 4,409 natural diamonds. The stones feature a range of cuts, including Jacob & Co.'s signature Angel-Cut.

The creation took 15 artisans more than 1,000 hours to complete. Its intricate structure comprises 3,218 individually designed parts. Unlike a conventional bra, it contains no fabric, combining gold and diamonds in a design intended to move with the body.

Jacob & Co. was founded in New York in 1986 by Jacob Arabo, who built a reputation for extravagant jewelry for celebrities. The company expanded into watches in 2001 and has since become known for combining high jewelry with technically ambitious watchmaking.

The bra draws inspiration from Jacob & Co.'s Rare Touch collection, which explores how precious metals and gemstones can be shaped into structures that move with the body. Founder Jacob Arabo said the design was intended to go beyond value, focusing on the diamonds, light and movement.

The piece was created in collaboration with Victoria's Secret, the American lingerie and beauty retailer. The company is known for its glamorous image and annual fashion show, which combines lingerie with elaborate runway productions and celebrity appearances.

Its Fantasy Bra tradition began in 1996, when Claudia Schiffer wore the first version. Previous designs included the $15 million Red Hot Fantasy Bra worn by Gisele Bundchen in 2000. The last version to appear on the runway was worn by Elsa Hosk in 2018 and was valued at $1 million.
