NY Street Renamed ‘William Goldberg Way’

The city of New York has officially named East 48th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues “William Goldberg” Way. The Father’s Day ceremony was attended by family and US Senator Charles Schumer

The ceremony honoring the diamond dealer took place Sunday, June 18 just below the building of William Goldberg’s corporate offices, where Goldberg worked.

The William Goldberg brand is synonymous with some of the most renowned gemstones in history, having cut, among others, the 89 carat Guinea Star, the 5.11 carat Red Shield, and the Premier Rose – 137 carat D flawless pear shaped diamond.
