Record Number of Israeli Companies to Exhibit at Hong Kong Jewelry Show

The Israeli diamond industry will have the largest presence it has ever had at the Hong Kong International Jewelry Show, according to a release Monday by the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI). The show, held March 5-9, will feature 60 companies within IDI’s diamond pavilion, 20 of them exhibiting in Hong Kong for the first time.

IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said that now more than ever Hong Kong is a major focus for the Israeli diamond industry.

“We see the Far East as the direction of the future for Israeli diamond companies and we are working hand in hand with the industry to promote these efforts,” Ganz said.

Hong Kong is Israel’s second largest market for polished diamonds. Net polished diamonds exports stood at $1.043 billion last year.

An online mini-site enables buyers to visit the pavilion virtually before the show.
