Diamond Prospecting In India Intensifies

According to India’s daily paper The Hindu, six companies including De Beers and Rio Tinto have received the go-ahead from the Chhattisgarh government to carry out initial diamond prospecting programs in the region.
Only companies registered in India received permission to conduct aerial surveys in seven districts of the state; Raipur, Mahasamund, Kankur, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon, Durg and Dhamtari. The prospecting work is expected to be completed within three years.
