New Bollywood Flick Gets DTC Helping Hand

The new Indian movie Boom is full of sparkle and glitter, but not just because of its stars as for its diamonds, 400 carats of them, courtesy of De Beers’ Diamond Trading Company.

The makers of Boom, a story about three models and three mobsters in a plot of intrigue and duplicity, have collaborated with the DTC and used real diamonds, rather than the cheaper to insure CZ, in the jewelry on the models in the film.

Among the diamond jewelry, worn in the opening sequence of the movie, includes two designs that have won the Diamond International Awards. Directed by newcomer Kaizad Gustad, the cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Gulshan Grover, Seema Biswas, Jackie Shroff, Katrina Kaif, Madhu Sapre, Noyonika chatterji, Padmalakshmi, along with Bo Derek.
