Diagem Recovers 25 Carater

The first three days of mining at Diagem’s Fazenda Chicoria Diamondiferous Gravel Resource Block No.1 in Mato Grosso, Brazil yielded 307 diamonds totaling 109.98 carats.

Among the diamonds recovered was a gem quality stone of 25.20 carats. Commercial mining began at the project under an 'experimental mining' permit on August 16th.

According to the company, the results so far have surpassed expectations, although start-up problems, include dry season water problems are currently hindering productivity.
