Suashish, Star Diamond Team Up To Create New Cut And Collection

Diamond firm Suashish has created a new diamond cut, Star 129, with the Star Diamond Group USA and together the two are launching a new diamond jewelry collection designed by British jewelry designer Stephen Webster featuring the newly created cut.

 

Suashish, a $200 million Indian diamond company and one of India's largest diamond manufacturing and exporting firms, has developed the new 129 facets cut together with Star Diamond, a jewelry manufacturing and distribution company.

The two have recruited Webster, known for his flamboyant and innovative approach to jewelry design and an international celebrity fan base that includes Madonna and Elton John. Webster created a dramatic, couture collection consisting of four pieces, each handcrafted from 18-karat white gold, embodying the vampish, gothic style, that he is recognized with.

 

The first piece is a large diamond collar consisting of rows of star 129 diamonds that sit around the neck. A row of larger diamonds run down the center of the choker and a string of diamonds cascade down the wearer's back.

 

Another piece of neckwear is constructed of diamond-encrusted thorns, which link together to suspend a beautiful oval shaped twisted thorn pendant. The twisted thorns are also featured in a striking square diamond pendant, which is set around a star 129, centerpiece diamond.

 

A pair of diamond earrings, featuring the signature Stephen Webster thorns are also on the drawing board.

 

Webster will also be using Star 129 diamonds in an exclusive rock star pendant, which he has designed for top UK solo artist, Robbie Williams. Based on Robbie's famous Maori tattoo, the pendant will be suspended from an 18-karat white gold chain and will be the ultimate in “bling” thanks to the incredible sparkle from the Star 129.

 

The fruition of this partnership will be unveiled at Fashion Rocks, a Prince's Trust concert/fashion show at the Royal Albert Hall, where some of the biggest names in the music industry have teamed up with leading fashion designers to pull off the charity event of the decade.

 

The four diamond jewelry designs will be available for sale at the Stephen Webster boutique in London.
