WDC Israel Unit Earns Quality Management Certificate

The Waldman Diamond Company’s Israeli unit said it has been accredited international ISO 9001: 2000 certification for quality management in manufacturing and trading rough and polished diamonds.

Waldman, one of Israel’s top 12 diamond exporters, said the market is changing and they wanted to be able to better serve their clients. Today, for instance, they are customer oriented from the manufacturing stage, even sourcing rough diamonds based on client needs.

Sensing a growing awareness about the need for quality standards among diamond and jewelry customers prompted the Israel-based firm to secure the quality certification.

“Our buyers want to know up front that our business will meet their needs. ISO 9001: 2000 certification, which guarantees our customers that a certified quality management system is in place, demonstrates Waldman Diamonds’ commitment to quality and customer satisfaction,” said CEO Alexander Waldman.

“It’s all about enhancing our customers’ satisfaction and achieving consistency in our products and services. Last but not least, it’s also about improving internal processes in our company.
