Endiama presented to local authorities five new diamond prospecting projects, aiming to show the benefits of local mining to area residents.
The Angolan State-owned diamond company presented the projects in the districts of Mussende, Kibala and Libolo in the central Kwanza-Sul province to local government officials in the area, and outlined the benefits the exploration work will bring to the province, such as jobs and raising the standard of living.
Joaquim Ramos Buta, Endiama’s director of geology and mining development, said the five diamond prospects and research projects will be implemented in the districts of Mussende, Kibala and Libolo.
The project in Gangos (Mussende) began last year and the others will start soon, with the participation of foreign and local firms.
Endiama is one of 20 firms registered in Kwanza-Sul for geological and mining exploration.
