Rosy Blue’s Mehta Appointed Armenia's Honorary Consul in Mumbai

Rosy Blue’s Managing Partner Harshad Mehta has been appointed Armenia's Honorary Consul in Mumbai.

A founding director of Rosy Blue, Mehta has played a part in Armenia's economic development since the firm owns two factories in Armenia and has invested heavily in the country.

Rosy Blue's diamond plants - Diamotech in the town of Talin, and Lori in Nor Hadjin in partnership with Arslanian Cutting Works - produce more than $75 million of polished diamonds annually.

In the past three years, Rosy Blue has invested $15 million in Armenia, developing high-level diamond cutting factories and generating work for 1,000 people in a country which suffers from high unemployment. Mehta foresees investing $5 million in a jewelry manufacturing factory in Armenia in the near future.

Rosy Blue said the appointment would help promote India-Armenia relations and further develop Rosy Blue’s ties with the country.
