AGS to Open Mumbai Take-In Window

AGS Laboratories is to open a take-in window in Mumbai which will start providing services from the middle of this month. The AGS has contracted Gem Services International (GSI) to operate the service.

AGS Laboratories said diamond grading results would be completed within five business days for clients of the take-in window.

“This is an area that we’ve wanted to move into for some time, we were just waiting for the perfect opportunity, and we found that with GSI,” said Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of AGS Laboratories.

Nikhil Jhaveri, President of GSI, said the new service would enable Indian diamantaires to "significantly improve the marketability of their diamonds, as well as add value to the bottom line".

The new take-in window will utilize Lemiur Services to transfer the products in India, and Dunbar will manage the U.S.
