Angola’s Endiama Considering Diamond Workers Policies

June 26, 05 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

State owned diamond company Endiama will hold a three-day meeting this week to decide on human resources management guidelines. The three day conference will include a visit to a diamond plant.

Under the slogan “For an integrated human resources management, towards the Angolanization of the diamonds industry”, Endiama is holding the first National Meeting of Human Resources Managers of the company in Lubango, in the southern Huila province.

Approximately 22,000 people are employed by the diamond industry in Angola.

The company wants to approve standards and guidelines to regulate the management of human resources in the industry, during the meeting that will be attended by administrators, human resources directors, senior staff of Endiama and guests.
