Diamdel Signs up for Antwerp Course

Diamdel, an independently managed rough diamond trading company within the De Beers Group is teaming up with the Diamond, Jewellery and Management Institute (DJMI), a joint initiative of the HRD Antwerp World Diamond Centre and the University of Antwerp Management School (UAMS) as a sponsor.

Through the partnership, Diamdel is joining leading diamond industry stakeholders around the world as a key sponsor of this milestone education, training and research initiative.

Frank Auger, Managing Director of Diamdel NV, said: “Diamdel’s engagement and resulting co-sponsorship of the Institute represents an ideal synergy for us: it adequately reflects both our vision for helping to globally encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of the developing industry and also our passion for playing an immediately tangible role in enhancing the sustainability of small businesses within centres such as Antwerp.”

Marcel Pruwer, Director–Development at the DJMI and the conceptual founder of the Institute, stated that the global footprint of Diamdel and its presence in key diamond centres complements the Institute’s mission to offer world-class education and technical skills to the industry. 

Pruwer added that Diamdel’s presence in the key cutting centres and in Southern Africa and Greater China would also enable the Institute to channel its teaching and education courses to active diamond businesses at different stages in the diamond pipeline.
