Saks November Sales Decrease 14.5%

Saks Incorporated today announced that comparable store sales increased 0.1 percent for the four weeks ended November 26 while total sales decreased 14.5 percent compared to the same prior year period.

Comparable store sales rose 2.3 percent for Saks Department Store Group (SDSG) and decreased by the same amount for Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises (SFAE).

For the four weeks, owned sales for the company totaled $543.6 million, down from $635.9 million in the prior year period. 

For the 10 months ended November 26 owned sales totaled $4.696 billion, up from $4.976 billion in the same period last year.
