The collection, which includes a small stole of gold thread and a necklace composed of diamond ropes, was created when H. Stern designers followed the furniture-making brothers around for several months. It was inspired by the objects that influence the Campana brothers and by the furniture they create.
The 18 karat gold necklace, with a clasp release made of one .03 carat baguette diamond, was inspired by the profile of corrugated cardboard and can be used either as a necklace, with a flat panel resting on the chest and back or laid flat on the table. And the price for this mix of beauty and function? $51,000.
Another piece in the collection, the $91.000 gold stole, is composed of 80,000 strands of 18 karat gold thread and silk backing. Each piece takes over three months to complete and bears the collection's signature; a small gold emblem of a drain cover inspired by the Campana’s "Drain" table - a table top made of two pool drain covers.
