Wake-Walker Resigns from European Diamonds Board
January 12, 06
Richard Wake-Walker has resigned as director of European Diamonds plc. He joined the company when it was floated on the London AIM market in 2000.
Wake-Walker has over 30 years experience in the diamond industry, most of it involved in the marketing of rough diamonds, with nearly 19 years with De Beers. He is a founding partner in WWW International Diamond Consultants, a diamond valuation and advisory company.
He is a director of Diamonds International (DICAN) Canada Ltd, PolishedPrices, and the London & Moscow Development Corporation.
Wake-Walker said in a release that he resigned from the board at a meeting in London on January 9, due to “irreconcilable differences over the current and future marketing of European Diamonds’ production from its Liquobong mine in the Kingdom of Lesotho.”
