De Beers Increases Share in African Diamonds

De Beers purchased 1,223,293 ordinary shares in African Diamonds, a London-listed diamond exploration company. The purchase increased its holding to 5.96 percent of African Diamonds.

According to a release by African Diamonds, the shares were bought from Mark Scowcroft who indicated that he was now interested in acquiring 1.67-million shares or 2.24 percent of the issued share capital of African Diamonds.
