The 13th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards ceremony was a further test case for the impact of the recent public discussion on Hollywood’s A-list celebrities. With Tinsel Town and one of its major studios, Warner Brothers, voicing criticism of the diamond industry, last night it was a display of confidence in the value of diamonds.

Helen Mirren, the night’s winner for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role’ for her performance in “The Queen”, walked down the red carpet wearing Chopard jewelry, including a 25 carat diamond bracelet, 15 carat diamond hoop earrings, a 29 carat diamond brooch, and an oval diamond watch.
